Osprey

I wanted to add some more pictures of the Osprey, he was definitely covering some ground.  I saw it all over the refuge, but as I was leaving it flew over me and landed right above me with a fish in his grips.  Really majestic to see that bird, only wish I had seen him catch his prey.  Anyway here's some more view of the Osprey, he was pretty photogenic.. or maybe just wanted privacy for breakfast.

Dyke's Marsh

Went over to Dyke's Marsh this morning, before the weather got too warm.  There were a whole lot of things to see, and most of the birds were so fast I didn't have time to take pictures.  But I did manage to get some interesting shots.

Got some more today

People in my neighborhood must think I'm crazy walking around with my camera.  I thought I could multitask  by walking the dog too but she just scares off the birds and keeps me from having a steady hand.  This weekend I'm heading over to Dyke's Marsh along the Potomac, going to try and catch the Bald Eagle people keep spotting down there.  Anyway here's today's finds.

Bird watching begins!

So Corey and I decided we are going to take up birding and post our sightings out here.. Right now we're both a little busy but we should hopefully have some pictures and posts coming in the next couple weeks.
